Autism G.E.A.R.S. was founded in London, United Kingdom in 2004 by Dr. Cheryl Ostryn to meet the diverse needs of individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, their families and communities. The mission of the company is simply “Moving Forward Together,” and at Autism G.E.A.R.S. we ensure that we move in a systematic way. All our work is evidence-based using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. We strive to find the most effective combination of methods that fit perfectly together to ensure progress is achieved for your specific needs.

Autism G.E.A.R.S. is run as a company that answers the needs of those in the community and aims to be the most creative company that works with individuals with autism. We offer support in the form of trainings, therapy, consulting, teaching, coaching, supervising, and have worked in schools, homes, centers, nurseries, universities, libraries, day care centers, and zoos! Some of our more creative jobs have included planning birthday parties, navigating a treasure hunt, and planting a vegetable garden with individuals on the autism spectrum.

Dr. Cheryl Ostryn received her doctorate degree in Special Education (focus Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis) from The Pennsylvania State University and completed her post-doctoral work at The University of Colorado, Denver, and she is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level (BCBA-D).
