Applied Behavior Analysis Packages in the United Kingdom

Welcome to the Autism G.E.A.R.S. International Program (AGIP). At Autism G.E.A.R.S. we do things a little differently when it comes to working with families of children with autism. We do not believe that the best program for a child with autism is one that employs the idea that the child "gets therapy" or "does therapy," but that maximum benefits can be achieved by an individualized program being infused in a child’s everyday life, with family members trained in behavior analysis.

The following information highlights how this program differs from many other autism programs you may find today:

The AGIP program works with the entire family in order to maximize benefits for the child and family as a whole, and families must commit to being hands-on throughout. Over the years we have researched the types of program variables that families prefer and from these results have developed a range of pre-designed programs.

Outcomes of the Autism Gears International Program:
• Ability for family members to implement an ABA program in the home and community to increase socially significant (desirable ) behaviors
• Collaborate more effectively with current therapists and professionals
• Increase desired behaviors, such as communication, playing, responding, and self-help skills
• Decrease undesired / challenging behaviors, such as hitting, biting, spitting, and screaming
• Give families research-based strategies to analyze behaviors and react appropriately to new behaviors
• Ability to take basic data and make data-driven decisions about behavior change
• Increase in family consistency when interacting with child with autism
• Ability to write measurable academic, social, and behavioral goals in collaboration with schools and care centers
• Reported reduction in family anxiety and stress
